| New Plastics Recycling Lab Line Conveniently Available in Ipswich Massachusetts |
|---|
Ipswich, Massachusetts: A new plastics recycling demonstration line has recently been installed at EREMA’s Ipswich, Massachusetts headquarters. The system is a 906 T model designed for reclaiming LDPE, LLDPE, HDPE and PP in both rolls and loose materials. The system includes a roll feed and conveyor belt with a metal detector, automatic back flushing screen changer and hot die face water ring type pelletizer. In the classic, patented EREMA recycling system, scrap material is fed into a large vertical cutter/compactor unit that uses friction to compress, size reduce and prewarm the plastic. The preheated, densified material is then fed directly to the extruder screw. Compression and melting occur gradually, at a precisely controlled temperature, adding minimal heat history to the reclaim. EREMA systems are exceptionally easy to operate, ruggedly constructed and produce exceptionally high quality, melt filtered pellets. EREMA systems are available in a wide range of sizes and throughput capabilities for 200 pounds per hour to over two tons per hour. Processors interested in reclaiming scrap material are invited to schedule a visit and/or a demonstration run of their materials in Ipswich, easily reached from Boston’s Logan International Airport. EREMA systems are supported by technicians based in the company’s 10,000 square feet Ipswich, Massachusetts headquarters. This headquarters houses a large inventory of spare parts and operating systems for demonstrations and test runs. Most spare parts are shipped within 24 hours. Tim Hanrahan said, “Our lab line makes it easy for processors to examine a working EREMA system in action. Our customers significantly benefit from having U.S. based tech support and spare parts inventory and they get an extra level of comfort knowing how easy it is to reach us by telephone, for fast spare parts shipments and friendly knowledgeable support.” |
| Demand for Erema plastics recycling technology greater than ever |

The Erema group of businesses achieved the best result in the history of the company in the last financial year (balance sheet date 31/3/05), continuing in the same vein as in the previous year. The consolidated turnover of the group increased by around 15% to top 70 million euro for the first time. The consolidated result (before outgoings) of the group was able to grow roughly in proportion to turnover, despite the considerable price pressure on the world market. All subsidiaries in the group also reported a positive balance. |

| The new Erema Double Disc recycling process proves its worth |
|---|
Ansfelden/Linz, 01.04.2005: At Erema, the Ansfelden based manufacturer of recycling machines, "Double Disc" refers to the separation of the material preparation processing steps (shredding, mixing, drying, preheating and prehomogenising) from extruder feeding. The Austrian engineering specialists make this possible by integrating a second knife holder disc ("Double Disc") in the patented Erema T-DD cutter/compactor.The new process technology, which Erema calls 4th Generation Recycling Technology, has already generated keen interest on the market, boasts 15% higher capacity plus at the same time an up to 20% reduction in specific energy consumption. Since its launch at K 2004 last October in Düsseldorf, more than 30 Double Disc systems have already gone into successful operation. |
