It is not long before the first prototype of an Erema recycling plant is put together in a small workshop by the founding members themselves. The type RGA 80 machine works right from the start, producing quality pellets.
1984: The market place reacts
The first plant sold keeps its promise. With this reference, things take off in 1984. Very soon the first employees are hired and at the end of 1984 a ten-person team is celebrating the production of the tenth plant. Parallel to the worldwide recycling trend, Erema developed into one of today's leading manufacturers of plastics recycling plants.
1986: Erema moves into its own, new built premises in Ansfelden1992: Foundation of Erema subsidiary Erema North America Inc. near Boston, USA
1993: Foundation of Erema subsidiary 3S near Gmunden, Austria.
1997: 1000 complete recycling plants supplied to the industry
2001: Foundation of Erema China Office in Shanghai, China
2002: Foundation of Erema Japan Corp. in Yokohama, Japan
2004: 2000 complete recycling plants supplied to the industry.
Meanwhile, well over 2000 Erema plants throughout the world recycle several million tonnes of plastic waste into high quality secondary raw material (pellets) every year.
